What is salvation?

Salvation in Christianity refers to the belief that individuals can be saved from sin and its consequences, and attain eternal life with God. It is seen as a gift from God through faith in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross.

According to Christian beliefs, all individuals are born with sin and are in need of salvation. Sin separates humanity from God and results in spiritual death and eternal separation from Him. However, through faith in Jesus Christ, individuals can receive forgiveness of sins and be reconciled to God.

Faith in Jesus Christ involves accepting him as Lord and Savior, and repenting of one’s sins. Repentance involves acknowledging one’s wrongdoing and turning away from it, seeking to live a life that is pleasing to God. Good works are also seen as an important aspect of the Christian life, as they serve as evidence of faith and obedience to God.
